The Looming Threat to Gas Prices: Strait of Hormuz Explained

Hydrogen Fuel, H2O, Fuel Saver, Hydrogen Fuel Saver,  Fuel Saver Supplier, Malaysia Fuel Saver, Hydrogen Fuel Cell, Mobile Hydrogen Units, Hydrogen on Demand, Fuel Cell, Water For Gas, Fuel Savers, Hydrogen Gas, Electrolysis, Oxygen, How to save petrol,

Global oil prices jumped to a nine-month high Tuesday to $106 a barrel after Iran announced it was stopping oil shipments to France and Britain. Iran is responding to heavy pressure from America, Europe and other allies, who want to stop the country's nuclear power program before the radical regime can build nuclear weapons.

This most recent move by Iran to ban oil exports to the two European countries comes as a direct preemptive response to the European Union's planned Iran oil embargo set for this summer. The EU has already frozen assets of Iran's central bank.

In recent weeks, you've also probably heard news stories about Iran threatening to shut down the Strait of Hormuz. It hasn't happened yet, but Iran has indicated it could close the Strait or take other measures should the country feel threatened enough by the Western allies.
But right now you might be wondering: What is the Strait of Hormuz and why does it matter TO YOU?
If Iran tries to block the Strait it could have a huge impact on world oil prices, which would directly impact how much you pay for groceries, gas and electronics — all of which use oil in some way, whether it's part of the manufacturing or shipping process.

The Strait of Hormuz is a waterway that connects the Persian Gulf to the Arabian Sea. It is the only passage to the open ocean for some of the biggest oil producers in the Middle East

About 20% of the world's oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz, including crude oil produced in Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Kuwait. It's a water way that's "absolutely critical to the world economy," according Dr. Daniel Yergin, energy expert and Pulitzer Prize winning author of The Prize and The Quest.
Yergin calls the Strait of Hormuz "the most important chokepoint in the world."

Because so much of the world's oil travels through Strait, any disruption to the shipping channel would have a major impact on global crude oil prices, which ultimately determine the price we pay for gas at the pump.
Some analysts estimate the price of oil could go up by 50% within days if there's a disruption of supply, which would mean much higher prices for us filling our tanks at the gas station — and anything else that requires the use of oil. Crude oil and gas prices have risen sharply since September in large part because of the threat of a disruption in the Strait of Hormuz.

"We've seen oil prices just on threats go up $5, $10 a barrel" in a day, Yergin says. "This is Iran's trump card."
The average price for regular unleaded gas today is $3.58 up nearly 9% since the beginning of this year, according to AAA.com. That is still slightly lower than the highest record average price of $4.11 set in July 2008. But many analysts are predicting that with the threat from Iran coupled with the warmer weather ahead, the U.S. maybe be headed for $4 or even $5 gas prices.

Whether Iran really can shut down the Strait is a big question. Jan Stuart of Credit Suisse says it would be "suicidal" for the Iranians to even try.

"Closing the Strait of Hormuz -- that thing is...30 miles wide," Stuart says. "You need a gazillion boats to literally close it off. It can't happen."

Still, Iran's Navy has recently been conducting military exercises in the area. Some experts say the Iranians are preparing to attack oil tankers in the Strait with missiles and torpedoes from submarines. They might not shut the critical passage down but such attacks would certainly disrupt crude shipments and cause a spike in oil prices.

Whether the Iranians just bluster or actually go on the attack, we're likely to hear more news about this critical waterway in the days and weeks ahead, and that news will have a direct impact on the global economy and how much you're paying for products here in the U.S.

Well, I've only one solution for all of you. Switch to water powered Hydrogen fuel!!! Read through my blog and you'll understand how and why you should make that decision now!!

Green Technology Description

The term "technology" refers to the application of knowledge for practical purposes.
The field of "green technology" encompasses a continuously evolving group of methods and materials, from techniques for generating energy to non-toxic cleaning products.

The present expectation is that this field will bring innovation and changes in daily life of similar magnitude to the "information technology" explosion over the last two decades. In these early stages, it is impossible to predict what "green technology" may eventually encompass.

The goals that inform developments in this rapidly growing field include:

Sustainability - meeting the needs of society in ways that can continue indefinitely into the future without damaging or depleting natural resources. In short, meeting present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

"Cradle to cradle" design - ending the "cradle to grave" cycle of manufactured products, by creating products that can be fully reclaimed or re-used.

Source reduction - reducing waste and pollution by changing patterns of production and consumption.

Innovation - developing alternatives to technologies - whether fossil fuel or chemical intensive agriculture - that have been demonstrated to damage health and the environment.

Viability - creating a center of economic activity around technologies and products that benefit the environment, speeding their implementation and creating new careers that truly protect the planet.

Examples of green technology subject areas

Energy
Perhaps the most urgent issue for green technology, this includes the development of alternative fuels, new means of generating energy and energy efficiency.

Green building
Green building encompasses everything from the choice of building materials to where a building is located.

Environmentally preferred purchasing
This government innovation involves the search for products whose contents and methods of production have the smallest possible impact on the environment, and mandates that these be the preferred products for government purchasing.

Green chemistry
The invention, design and application of chemical products and processes to reduce or to eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances.

Green nanotechnology
Nanotechnology involves the manipulation of materials at the scale of the nanometer, one billionth of a meter. Some scientists believe that mastery of this subject is forthcoming that will transform the way that everything in the world is manufactured. "Green nanotechnology" is the application of green chemistry and green engineering principles to this field.

Dynamic Motor eXperience or in its abbreviation 'DMX’ is a stylish durable stainless steel device that mounts under the hood of your car or truck.

Through the process of electrolysis using the engines 12v Battery, this  Hydrogen Generator extracts the hydrogen and oxygen gases in battery water, then adds the resulting gases to the conventional air mix in a vehicle engine (e.g. petrol, diesel, etc.) thus supplementing the expensive fuel with a low-cost additive (battery water).

BENEFITS

Access to Hybrid Technology that’s gives more power

With the hydrogen generator installed, you will have a 20% - 30% fuelsavings for city driving and up to 50% on highways.

No loss of engine power though less pressure is needed on the accelerator pedal, to get the vehicle up to speed.

The new fuel mixture burns cleaner, burns more completely and burns more efficiently. It cleans up carbon deposits in the engine and prevents future carbon build up.

Exhaust emissions harmful to the environment are greatly reduced.

The combustions chamber temperature drops slightly, contributing to better fuel combustion and a quicker  flame spread ratio.

What are the Fuel Alternatives in the Market?

-->
Hydrogen Fuel, H2O, Fuel Saver, Hydrogen Fuel Saver,  Fuel Saver Supplier, Malaysia Fuel Saver, Hydrogen Fuel Cell, Mobile Hydrogen Units, Hydrogen on Demand, Fuel Cell, Water For Gas, Fuel Savers, Hydrogen Gas, Electrolysis, Oxygen, How to save petrol,

With the current instability of market environments and the global recession glooming around us, we as consumers have to take the necessary steps in surviving and saving every inch of resource so as to help us get by the current situation.
It is common knowledge that in the next coming months, fuel prices that has been so low for now will shoot up tremendously and its expected to shoot up more than 200%. In the event that this happens, cost of production and transportation will also rise and this will not be an equal balance as by that time, our global economy would have still been just recovering and in fragile state.

My question is how many alternative fuel options are there in the market and how effective are they are as fuel alternatives? So far through my observations, you have solar, bio diesel, hydro, wind, hydrogen, NGV gas and electric driven powered alternatives. Of these, 3 tops my list:-

1) NGV GAS
2) ELECTRIC BATTERIES
3) HYDROGEN

NGV GAS is the current top choice for most suppliers in installation and suppliers in Malaysia. Its is a cheaper and more efficient alternative fuel source but has various serious drawbacks. Of these the main one being - inadequate facilities and infrastructure by its current main producer – PETRONAS. The long line ups and being monopolized by mostly taxis. There is also evidence of loss in power of 30% -40%. Apart from that, you have the price list to consider. Almost RM 3,000 – RM 5,000 (depending on the mileage ranging from 100k to 200km).Also as NGV Gas is highly flammable, there has been instances where rear end collisions resulting in explosions and lost of life.

ELECTRIC Batteries - refers more to electric powered driven cars as they are seen as the mode to the future. It is virtually environment friendly with almost zero fuel emission and are able to compete with most of today’s conventional petrol driven vehicles in terms of speed and handling. The drawbacks are mostly towards its long charge time and limited distance for each charge time. If that can be solved then this would be an idle source to the current petrol driven vehicles.

HYDROGEN - Currently, there are a few types of Hydrogen based alternatives. These can be found in Liquid Hydrogen, Hydrogen Pills and Hydrogen Generators.
The usage of Liquid Hydrogen is the current trend amongst most major car manufacturers whereby they have come out with the term ‘Hybrid ‘ technology using both petrol and liquid hydrogen. These vehicles are already in the market but are currently still using only petrol as the facilities required for the supply of liquid hydrogen are not in place yet.

As for hydrogen pills, they act mostly as a additive towards saving fuel and in reality can save 5% to 10% but in the long run can pose serious effects towards the engine.

Hydrogen Generators have been around for a long time now and is probably the most down played of all alternative fuel resources. Since the invention of the earliest motor car, it has been a source of interesting debate between its over simplified application and usage as in comparism to the high costs involved in oil and production. The fact is that through the process of electrolysis, we can turn water into both hydrogen and oxygen. This process which is able to create hydrogen is the fundamental issue that makes it the most easiest and safest alternative fuel source to be used. It efficiency however depends on how this simple concept can be used and in its application and technical outputs. At best u can maximized your consumption by more than 50% and this taking place without any tampering towards your engines overall structure. A real hybrid that combines to your existing vehicle and is safe and most of all cost effective
